[schematics] [presentation] [team profile] [news] [links] [info] [problems] Cool News [May 8th, 1998] We are DONE! Even better, Jen saw fit to be so nice as to allow me to live. Woohoo! I guess we were to busy getting the project done to kill each other. --Wags [May 7th, 1998] The schematics are up. It took me a while, but now you can go look at them. Oh yeah, fixed that annoying decimal point problem...just needed to not them.--Wags [May 6th, 1998] Went to lab today...the CPU worked...well it didn't at first because we had it constantly clearing one or the other. But nothing big, just had to not something for the weird logic on the buttons. Anyway, it counts and displays if over 100 just peachily! Good job y'all....gotta get the schematics nice and neat up here and then we are done. Coolios! --Wags [May 5th, 1998] Drew has renamed some of us and given us a few new titles. Me and Jen have to do some web page work to do so that we have a report to turn in. Do we got a meeting tonight O Captain my Captain? --Itchy [May 4th, 1998] presentation went well today, i think. we finally killed that nasty LW/SW bug. that ought to be the last of 'em, now. seems perhaps the various complaints about the clock generator that i heard from several of the other groups may have contributed to this problem, as the memory was writing when it shouldn't have been. --drew [May 4th, 1998] Time is ticking away. Squashed a few more bugs (this place is infested) and put a link to Jen's web page about the project. Should be able to present today. --Wags [May 4th, 1998] We squashed them bugs DEAD. Or at least the ones we found. The assembler has been updated to version 0.15 and has a few new options such as allowing a barrel shifter (like we have in our design). No multiplier as of yet, but that should be coming along shortly here. --Wags [May 3rd, 1998 (Later)] Me and Drew spent about 5 hours in lab today. That sucked. Squashed a lot of bugs. Gotta hope that Jen and Mitch can squash some more. Got the instructions to load correctly. Found a small mistake with SLL1 and SRL1 in the assembler. Will be fixed soon. But other homework calls right now. --Wags [May 3rd, 1998] Wow, one day until this thing is due. I have the distinct feeling that it is going to be a late night in windows for me this day. Should be able to get it done. Working on a few small fixes to the assembler still . We'll see what happens. Really should have the assembler do some more stuff like variables, but we can get around that easily enough. --Wags [April 29th, 1998] Fixed a few small problems in the assembler. It still does very minimalistic error checking, so you had better make sure your code is good before running it through. Drew and Jen did the register file and the d ecoder. He also has the memory working I guess. --Wags [April 28th, 1998] Finished the assembler sort of today. You can download it here. But you need the password to download it. This is to keep people from using it on their project without me kn owing. Mail me to get the password for it.--Wags [April 26th, 1998] Got bored today. Made the 4x8 mux. Wasn't tough at all. Made some great progress on the assembler today. Jump tables work pretty well. Talked to drawert about some techniques which he used on it. Doing a me mory type thing isn't feasable. Time to use addi!--Wags [April 21st, 1998]Had a meeting today. Assigned some more detailed team roles. Also "not me'd" cattau into being the group captain as the old group captain was slacking.--Wags [April 14th, 1998] Well, instead of doing real work, I put up the hit location tracker that Tempo wrote. Did I ever mention how much I hate permissions for web pages and what not? They suck. Anyway, click on the hits at the bo ttom of the screen to see who else visited the page.--Wags [April 9th, 1998] Instead of doing my CS330 project tonight I decided to update the web page a little bit. Its a lot more complete now and I put a counter (which BTW, I wrote myself) down on the bottom of the page. Also resized the page and all sorts of fun tricks. So members start submitting stuff. --Wags [April 6th, 1998] Wrote up some technical stuff about how we are going to work the compiler. Or something like that. I'll post em when I get a chance. --Wags [March 14th, 1998] Won't be any updates for quite a while now. Gonna be in Bosnia for a week. --Wags
[March 10th, 1998] Ladies, Gentlemen and Others, the Schoolyard CS350 Project now is online. Sorry about the domain name, but I wanted complete control over the page. --Wags
